Death surrounds this family around every corner–and it just goes to show that all the money in the world doesn’t solve your issues, it honestly makes them worst. ![]() ![]() In this book, we find out the Hawthorne family is not as innocent as one thinks it is. Not only that, but she also has to go to school while her life is quite literally being threatened just for the simple case of inheriting money that she didn’t even want to begin with. She also has to deal with the fact that her deadbeat father, all of the sudden, decided to make an appearance and is now asking for money. Avery, on top of all of that, still has to deal with the press and the media, Jameson’s lingering stares, and Grayson’s brooding personality. Spoiler for the first book** but we find out Toby isn’t dead and in this book, they’re trying to figure out where he is or what happened to him. This book picks up almost immediately after the first one and from the first chapter all the way until the end, it feels like riding a rollercoaster. ![]()
